Pi Coding Agent 0.84.0 is included, and macOS and Linux also bundle Herdr v0.8.2. You do not need to install Pi CLI, Node.js, or npm separately—just configure a model provider.

Install on macOS
- Open the DMG and drag Pi Agent Desktop to Applications
- Release builds are Apple-signed and can be opened directly
- You can also extract the ZIP archive and move the app to Applications
- A verified Herdr v0.8.2 runtime is bundled, so Managed mode needs no separate download
Install on Windows
- The Windows installer is an unsigned Beta without Authenticode code signing
- Windows may show an Unknown Publisher or SmartScreen warning
- Confirm the installer came from GitHub Releases, then choose Run anyway
- Managed background processes require Windows 11 x64; other desktop features remain available on Windows 10
- Herdr integration is currently unavailable on Windows; other desktop features are unaffected
Install on Linux
- Download the x64 AppImage
- Run chmod +x Pi-Agent-Desktop-*.AppImage to make it executable
- Updates are currently manual; download the new version here and replace the old file
- A verified Herdr v0.8.2 runtime is bundled, so Managed mode needs no separate download
Updating
- macOS: check for stable updates automatically or manually in the app
- Windows: check, download, and install stable updates in the app
- Linux: AppImage updates are currently manual
